Planning For The 2018 PA State Sunday School Convention Is Well Under Way!

The 156th Anniversary Pennsylvania State Sunday School Convention will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at the Newville First Church of God, 475 Shippensburg Road, Newville, PA.  We are excited about holding this year's convention at this beautiful, recently remodeled and enlarged church.

The Convention Planning Committee has met several times and has just announced that the special speaker for the 2018 Convention will be Rev. Dr. Ronnie Tucker, from Chambersburg (pictured above).  Dr. Tucker is a well-known and highly respected pastor and educator.  Dr. Tucker is a certified Dean of Christian Education by the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, and an instructor in the Pennsylvania State Congress of Christian Education.  He is the Academic Counselor at Penn State, Mount Alto, University.  He is a revivalist, a published author and he worships at Unite In Christ Church, in Chambersburg, PA.  He is married to the lovely Lenore; they have two young adult children, Kristie and Ronnie B. Tucker II, daughter-in love Natasha and 3 grandchildren, Bradley, Eryn, and Darius.  He will be speaking during the opening devotional session at the convention.

The opening session will be followed by two workshop sessions, lunch served by the host church, and three workshop sessions in the afternoon.  During each of the five workshop sessions, there will be workshops for teachers of children, teachers of youth, teachers of adults, church and Sunday school leaders and workshops of general interest.  In all, 30 different workshops will be offered.  The 2018 convention theme will be "Kids Under Construction!"

The registration costs for the 2018 convention will be the same as last year:  $25.00 for individuals and $125.00 for church registrations (where a church can bring as many of their teachers, leaders and members to the event as they wish for one low price).  The cost of the Saturday lunch ($10.00 per person) is extra for all persons.
