REASON #23 - Sunday School Is Important Because Of HOW We Study The Bible

God doesn’t change! The Bible doesn’t change! The Way of Salvation through Jesus Christ doesn’t change! But, the world has changed and people have changed! What does this all mean? It means that we must change the way that we are presenting God’s unchanging message of salvation to the people in today’s modern world.
Realizing this need to change how they teach people of different ages, today’s successful Sunday schools are making greater use of things like computers, TVs, smartphones, the internet, social media and other modern technologies. And, they are utilizing today’s most effective teaching methods, including “active-discovery learning.”Successful Sunday school teachers know that to be their very best, they need to make their lessons relevant to the needs of their students and they must do this in a way that is interesting and effective. But, they also know that they must keep each lesson centered on the Bible and that their number one priority is to help their students come to know Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.Questions To Think About: What different teaching methods and tools do the teachers of your Sunday school regularly use? Do they use a variety of these methods and tools? Do they use modern technologies like computers in their teaching? How could you get the teachers of your church to do better in this area?
Prayer Suggestion: Pray for the college students and young adults of your church and Sunday school.
A Call To Action: Talk to the teachers of your Sunday school. Is there a particular modern technology tool that they could use to help make their lessons better, more effective and more interesting? If so, talk with your Sunday school class or your friends about doing something to raise the money to purchase the equipment needed.
