It has just been announced that the 155th Anniversary Pennsylvania State Sunday School Convention will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Plainfield Church of God, Route 641, Plainfield, PA (just 5 miles from Carlisle).

The “Teaching As Jesus, The Master Teacher,Taught” workshop has been one of our best and most popular Local Training Workshops. Over the years, we have presented this workshop many times in churches all across the state. Now we are happy to announce that the workshop is available on DVD!
The 57-minute video was written by P.S.S.S.A. Director, Rodney Pry, and it is presented by Shena Fodor.
The workshop looks at who, what, where and why Jesus taught. And, it also looks at Jesus’ teaching methods and how today’s teachers can use similar methods.

FREE “Lord, Thank You For Sunday!” Bookmarks Available From The PA L.D.A.
The Pennsylvania Lord’s Day Alliance, an organization closely affiliated with the PA State Sunday School Association, has a FREE bookmark that they invite you to give to all of the members of your church, Sunday school or Sunday school class. The colorful bookmark con-tains the “Lord, Thank You For Sunday” poem and is printed on parchment-look card stock. We invite you to request as many of these free bookmarks as you can use by calling 1-800-358-2303.
2017 “Youth Poster & T-Shirt Contest” Theme Announced...
“Bring Your Friends To Sunday School Because...!” That is the 2017 theme for the Sunday School Association’s annual “YouthPoster and T-Shirt Contest.”
In the contest, children and youth, ages 6 to 19, are invited to create a traditional poster, a computer-generated mini poster or a T-Shirt based on the annual contest theme.
Entries are judged at either a County S.S.A. event or in your own local church. Judging is in four different age groups (6-8, 9-11,12-14 and 15-19).

2016 was a very good year for the PA State Sunday School Association. We had a great 154th Anniversary State Sunday School Convention, we put a number of workshops on DVD, we conducted a number of live Local Workshop Training Events, and we did much, much more.

“Kids Belong In Sunday School!” That’s the P.S.S.S.A.‘s 2017 program theme. Throughout the year
ahead, you will see us put an emphasis on getting children and youth involved in Sunday School.
We also hope that you and your church will join us in our efforts to get the kids involved in Sunday school and other Bible study programs and activities.
To help promote the yearly theme and urge people to “Pray for the Children and Youth of Your Church & Community,” we have FREE bookmarks available that you can give to the members of your church and Sunday school.
