About The Training Session Presentation…

“The Power of an Authentic Blessing: Transforming the Lives of
Children Through the 21st Century Church”

Every ten years the world changes! We ‘wake up’ to new realities that make us say out loud, “It wasn’t like this when I was a kid!” To be sure, many changes are beneficial and time-saving, but hovering over the many technological advancements derived each year is an ever-darkening cloud of societal and spiritual apathy. We’ve settled for kids today being more excited about ‘Bieber’ and ‘Bible,’ and when it impacts the group attitude in school and Sunday school, we throw up our arms in exasperation and say, “How can I get through to these kids?!”

Answers that touch the very hearts of kids from an early age are not found in the latest media technology or social network, rather, they begin with a blessing. If you teach and mentor children…and you do it either in the church of the home…you have the power to help transform children into spiritual champions that desire above all to grow in their faith and please God.

Blessing comes through relational encouragement, cultural understanding, the honing of teaching skills, and a knowledge of the content being taught…all to the end of developing a relationship with your children. A few concepts and ‘best practices’ in each of these areas will be shared during this training session so that when you leave this time of encouragement, you will have a few more practical ‘tools’ to help lead your children on a journey with Jesus. Come and enjoy a great meal, the fellowship with others and the encouragement you need for the coming Sunday school year.
